A London developer of nearly thirty years, formerly Regal London, co-founded by Paul Eden and Simon De Friend and run as a fully integrated business covering land, planning, in-house construction, asset management and customer care. Workspace is one of six strands alongside residential, students and academies, and the stated aim is offices with sustainability and wellbeing at their heart. The company has completed around a million square feet of commercial space with a similar amount in the pipeline, and claims more than forty industry awards.
Three schemes carry the workspace offer. The Laundry Studios in Hackney, by London Fields station, runs to over 25,000 sq ft completed in 2024 to a design by Alan Camp Architects, with exposed concrete, metal feature staircases, parking for forty-four bikes, a gym, a screening room and a yoga studio. Shoreditch Exchange provides over 140,000 sq ft of employment floorspace across eight floors by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, taking hot deskers through to teams of 200, with terraces, a sixth-floor lounge and private courtyards. The Clarendon Works in Watford adds over 173,000 sq ft of Grade A space.
