Operating as a not-for-profit since 2005, Impact Hub runs multiple London workspaces for purpose-driven businesses and social enterprises. The offer spans coworking, fixed desks, private offices, day passes and meeting rooms, with members gaining access to a global network of Impact Hubs for international partnerships. Community impact comes before profit, attracting occupiers who want their workspace to reflect their values.
The dates matter here. The first Impact Hub opened in Islington in 2005, the King's Cross hub followed in 2007 and moved into a converted York Way warehouse in October 2008, making it the second oldest in the network. A not-for-profit sister company was established in 2014 so that grant-funded programming could run alongside the workspace, and in 2016 the organisation became a certified B Corp, which it states made it the first collaborative workspace in the UK to do so. It rebranded from Impact Hub King's Cross to Impact Hub London in 2023.
The current home is Impact Hub London Euston at 1 Triton Square, opened in 2024 through a partnership with British Land and The Knowledge Quarter on the Regent's Place campus, five minutes from Great Portland Street and eight from Euston. Six private offices take teams of six to twelve on three-month minimum terms, and the four meeting rooms are named after campaigners and scientists rather than numbered, which tells you most of what you need to know about the house position. Event space seats up to 120 theatre style. Camden businesses and residents can join free. Incubators and accelerators including Together for Wellbeing, ASSETS, New Roots and The Circular Startup have supported over 900 entrepreneurs between 2017 and 2024, with 106 businesses backed in 2023/24 alone.
