Set in a historic Georgian building in Clerkenwell, Knotel Workclub blends period features with contemporary design across private offices, hot desks and work lounges. The hospitality-led model suits freelancers, startups and enterprises seeking flexibility with a sense of belonging, backed by regular community programming, phone booths and meeting rooms for focused work.
The building is Old Sessions House on Clerkenwell Green, 23 unique rooms across five floors, and Knotel has kept the provenance rather than designing it out. The Courtroom Bar occupies what was the original court room, and the rest reads as a sequence of named rooms rather than a floorplate: the Clerks Library, the Billiards Room with its own private terrace, the Chairman's Room for private dining up to twenty, the Jury Room with twelve desks and two phone booths, and a media lounge set up for podcasting, filming and live streaming. The roof holds one of very few infinity rooftops in London, with a heated pool and panoramic City views, open to members only.
Membership comes in three tiers. Lounge covers an individual on unlimited access, Studio takes private offices of twelve to twenty-two desks available from one day a week, and Flex is built for teams of two upward on a single monthly payment. Farringdon station is within five minutes on foot, bringing the Elizabeth line alongside the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City. Behind the club, Knotel runs a far larger managed office business, honed, in its own words, across 7.7 million sq ft and more than 1,900 customers, with floors available throughout central London from Soho Square and Old Burlington Street to Fenchurch Street and Howick Place, covering design and delivery, workplace services and hospitality for owners and occupiers alike.
