The Heart

Two friends from school built the place they both needed. The Hearth is a women's space in Queen's Park rather than a coworking brand with a women's floor, and the distinction runs through everything it does: membership is open to women over eighteen, and the founders, Oi Leng and Samira, take the name from the warmest place in the home. The building works over two floors on Lonsdale Road and treats them differently, with a quiet library above holding dedicated desks, phone booths and a meeting room, and a social lounge below built around couches and a kitchen table where calls are allowed.

What separates it from a members' club with a wellness add-on is that the clinic is a working practice. An osteopath, acupuncturist, medical herbalist, clinical aromatherapist and beauty therapist all practise in the building, treating non-members too, and every membership includes a wellness check-in. Access is bought by the day rather than by the desk, and the member programme is unusually specific, running circles on menopause, periods, neurodivergence, grief, writing and solopreneurship alongside a Sunday market for local women's businesses. Work days run weekdays only.
